Ready Start Tangipahoa Coordinated Funding Request:

For the 2021-2022 school session, The Ready Start Tangipahoa Early Childhood Community Network is requesting 600 LA4 seats, the same request as the 2020-2021 school session. This is an average of the number of seats  filled according to monthly attendance records and includes the number of all eligible students, pre-COVID-19.  Diverse delivery classes at The Early Learning Center of Ponchatoula (20 seats), Just Kiddin Around in Ponchatoula (20 seats), and Explore and Learn Early Learning Center in Hammond (20 seats) will continue being funded by LA4.  Overall, no new LA4 classes will be added for the 2021-2022 school year.

The network is asking for 125 three year old seats to be placed in the following child care centers: Chan's Scholar Toddlers (Amite), A'Mazing Kidz and Little Grace Childcare and Learning Center (Independence), Bright Horizons at North Oaks, Building Blocks Early Learning Center, Eagle Christian Academy, Explore and Learn Early Learning Center, Happy Feet Learning Center, Living Way Instruction Zone Child Care, and Punkin Patch Academy (Hammond), Just Kiddin Around Child Care and Learn N Grow Learning Center (Ponchatoula), as well as Kids Haven Childcare (Robert).  These seats would allow the network to open 16 new three year old classes in these areas.  Parents will apply for seats in the same manner as they apply for LA4 seats.
